Freedom of the press and social responsibilities are emphasized along with the professional goals, qualities, and ethics of a journalist. Technical developments and organizational structure in print and broadcast journalism are explored. Various types and styles of journalism and profiles of the prominent journalists are covered through a survey of literature Vocational opportunities in journalism are also discussed.
