MULTICULTURAL ISSUES IN COUNSELING (3) This course is designed to build expertise in counseling individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds including but not limited to individuals of African American, Hispanic, Asian, and American heritage. It includes a study of change, ethnicity, changing roles of women and sexism, urban and rural societies, changing population patterns, cultural mores, and differing life patterns. Prerequisite: PSYC 5600/406 or 5610/411 or concurrent enrollment.
