IMPROVING THE TEACHING OF ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS (3) Review of research on current teaching practices in elementary mathematics. Topics such as the importance of mathematics in contemporary society, the role of calculators and computers in mathematics instruction, and individualization of instruction will be emphasized.
