CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENt AND LEARNING THEORIES (3) Analyzes the historical/philosophical elements, which have influenced curriculum design. Social, cultural and psychological factors that affect the academic performance of students, as related to theories associated with curriculum development and the teaching/ learning process, are stressed. Attention is given to English learners and special needs students. Various methods for evaluating effective curricula are also examined.
