Particular emphasis is given to the formal public educational system and the nonformal extension education system. Through case studies of public and private controversies, students analyze conflicts and problem-solve courses of action. Through in-class and out-of-class assignments, students synthesize the conflict management literature and apply theory to current issues and topics in education and extension.
