Credit Hours: 3.00. Students will actively participate in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in all veterinary species with an emphasis on small animals. Students will be instructed and actively perform such diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including: electrocardiography, echocardiography, blood pressure determination and catheter placement. Students will be given exposure to invasive procedures such as angiography, intracavitary pressure determinations, PDA embolization, balloon valvuloplasty and pacemaker implantation. Students will receive ?active? clinical instruction as well as lectures in the form of teaching rounds. Current concepts in cardiovascular medicine will be emphasized. Total clinic hours 129.
