Credit Hours: 3.00. This course examines violence between intimates across the life span starting with child abuse and ending with abuse against the elderly. The perspectives used include social learning theory, gender role socialization and sociocultural values. Current research as well as emerging themes about the transmission of violence, learned behavior, and victimization will be used in this class. Assessment techniques are a major part of the class.
