Credit Hours: 3.00. Provides a basic introduction to common human diseases/conditions affecting the musculoskeletal, nervous, immune and cardiovascular systems. Provides introductory understanding of mechanisms of common prescription and over-the-counter drugs, and drug addiction. Will also provide basic information on the causes, types and treatments of human cancers. Completion of this course will provide a good understanding of human disease processes and improve ability to interact with medical professionals when necessary. Cannot be used as a Group A or B elective for biology majors.
