Credit Hours: 3.00. Emphasis is placed on the development and study of models for client-server systems, communication networks, and protocols. These models include: Petri nets, other analytic models, and discrete event simulation models. Actual systems are modeled and performance predicted. Students are expected to complete a major project using simulation models and a standard simulation language, network modeling package, or a network protocol design tool.
