This course serves as an introduction to epidemiology and biostatistics. The epidemiology portion of this course is intended to introduce students to epidemiology and its application to public health research and practice. It provides a conceptual foundation for further study of epidemiology; especially study design, quantitative concepts and methods, analysis, and interpretation. The biostatistics portion of this course offers an introduction to the basic statistical techniques used to analyze and interpret data in the biomedical, health sciences and related fields.
