Prerequisite: FMP 5000 This elective is provided through the Family Medicine Inpatient Service of the Department of Family Medicine, Medical College of Georgia. This service provides the student with an in-depth exposure to the broad range of medical problems confronting the Family Physician in a hospital environment. The student assumes the primary medical care responsibilities for patients on the service and is supervised by Family Medicine Faculty and Senior Family Medicine residents. The student participates in all phases of patient evaluation from admission to discharge planning.
