This course will provide a fundamental understanding of how genomic and proteomic information can be used to elucidate functional mechanisms in an organism. Emphasis will be placed on linking genomic information to functional changes occurring at the cellular, organ and whole organism levels. The course will provide interdisciplinary lectures to train students to move freely among the disciplines needed to investigate genome function.
