Parallel Processing Prerequisites: CSC 330, MAT 230 The course presents the fundamentals of parallel processing. Included in the course are the taxonomy,classification, and models of parallel processing. Architectures considered are SIMD and MIMD. Applicants discussed are sorting, FFT, dictionary operations, matrix multiplication, numerical algorithms, graph algorithms, combinatorial search, and pipeline processing. Actual implementations are programmed on the department's multi-computer sytem.
