Theoretical and pragmatic application of outdoor leadership strategies and techniques for the provision of safe and satisfying formal outdoor recreation group experiences. Exposure to a laboratory leadership experience, with an emphasis on psycho-social leadership skills, including judgment and decision-making, risk management, and the emotional, intellectual, and physiological elements of effective outdoor leadership. Required field trips.
