3 FS ARTS 270 for art majors (sculpture emphasis), or ARTS 123 for art majors (non-sculpture emphasis); faculty permission for non-majors. Students are expected to develop a strong understanding of anatomical forms derived from studio study of the human figure. A wide variety of methods and materials will be explored, including clay modeling, direct and cast plaster, woodworking, metal fabrication, and mixed media assemblage.
