3 FS ARTS 260 or equivalent experience in low-fire hand-building techniques; ARTS 122; ARTS 125. Aesthetic exploration of ideas, using the potter's wheel and/or hand-building techniques to create sculptural forms. Development of techniques in basic wheel-throwing and/or hand-building, clay body formulation, investigation of surface enrichment techniques, and kiln firing.
