Introductory Biology is a one-semester lecture/laboratory course designed to acquaint the non-major with a broad over view of the fundamental principles of biology. Topics considered will include the scientific method of inquiry, evolution, the biology of cells, principles of inheritance, the biology of organisms including a survey of major groups, and ecology with emphasis on the adaptations of organisms to living and non-living environmental factors.
