Starting with an introduction to acoustics, students develop skills in the art and science of live and studio sound recording. Students learn techniques for recording, editing, mixing, and mastering audio using ProTools and other products. We also focus on the tools for these processes: microphones, mixers, audio interfaces, and signal processors (such as compressorlimiter- expander-gate, digital delay, EQ, etc.) No prerequisites. Enrollment limited to ten. ( Fall '06).
