Interested students should apply to complete the Honors project through the Director of the Social Work Program no later than one academic year prior to their expected date of graduation. Students may enter this program by the invitation of the Social Work faculty or by application to and acceptance by the Social Work faculty. To be eligible, students must have a grade point average of 3.3 or greater in Social Work courses, as well as an overall grade point average of 3.0 or greater. Students will be asked to demonstrate capacity to produce independent scholarly or artistic work of the highest measure with accountability in the form of a comprehensive written exam and a professional paper presented to program faculty and defended by the student. (3-4 s.h.)
