The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with the components of various sports, traditional and non-traditional, for the purposes of enhancing students' ability to effectively work with athletes in these various sports. Students will learn the basic history of the sport, basic rules of the sport, and factors associated with the biomechanics, training, and conditioning of the sport. (3 s.h.)
