This course will emphasize classroom comprehension and content reading strategies, readers' workshop and writers' workshops in the 4th-8th grade, working with struggling literacy learners, and identifying technology that supports the classroom program. All candidates involved in this class will be working with a struggling reader or teaching in middle level literacy classroom. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Teacher Education Program. (3 s.h.)
