This introductory studio course offers direct experience in a variety of printmaking processes including relief, intaglio, planographic and stencil. Project assignments include an exploration of monotypes, etching, wood and linoleum blocks, and serigraphy or silkscreen printing. Whenever possible, non-toxic materials will be used. Students will be expected to apply their previously attained drawing and design skills to printmaking techniques. Prerequisites: a grade of "C" or higher inART 101, 120, 122, or consent of instructor. (3 s.h.)
