This course is an introduction to the study of the world of juvenile delinquents - to include aspects of law, theory, policy and practice. We will focus on the rights of children, their needs, care, and treatment as well as offenders. We will try to answer the question - Are delinquents "at-risk" children who society hasfailed, or are they serious criminal "predators"?
