Description:
This course is presented in a seminar format and provides the preservice teacher with an opportunity to have a hands-on experience with the therapists presenting the seminar. Among such professionals will be an occupational and physical therapist, speech therapist, and for the young child, the developmental specialist. This course includes clinical experiences in various settings, including schools, giving continuity to the seminar. The focus is on individuals with severe handicapping conditions that require occupational and physical therapy and speech therapy. Practicum experiences included. Learning Outcome: Public Speaking. Prerequisites: SPED 101 and EDUC 200. Offered every other year.
