This course teaches students to recognize the significant ethical issues faced by media practitioners. Students will use the study of moral philosophy and moral reasoning as foundation to develop ethical awareness of mass media by promoting critical thinking and engaging in moral discourse. A component of Media Law will be included in this class. Learning Outcome: Ethics of Social Responsibility. Prerequisite: junior status or permission of the instructor. Offered every year.
