Focusing on advanced studies in the craft of poetry, this course requires intensive reading, writing, and revision. Through formal analysis of peer work and established models, students will increase their ability to effectively critique their own and others' writing. Students will also learn the correct procedure for submitting manuscripts for publication. The course emphasizes longer works and independent projects. Learning Outcomes: Analytical Reading. Writing, and Self-Knowledge. Prerequisites: ENGL 240. Offered every other year.
