semester hours. This course provides instruction in the practical knowledge and clinical skills used when initiating emergency first aid care to injured/ill persons. Successful completion of the course will lead to American Red Cross certification in First Aid and CPR: Professional Rescuer. The latter certification addresses student Learning Outcome in the use of a bag-valve mask, AED application/ operation, and Oxygen administration/airway suctioning. Prerequisite: None. Learning Outcome: Self-knowledge.
