Emphasis on the fundamentals of structured program design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of common business-oriented applications using COBOL. Discussion and application of top-down design strategies andstructured programming techniques for designing and developing problem solutions. Coverage of language syntax, data and file structures, input and output devices, input editing, table processing, and sequential file creation and access. Three credit hours.
