This course includes the study of literature for children, including picture books, poetry, folklore, fantasy, science fiction, contemporary realistic fiction, historical fiction, biography and nonfiction. Students will also consider multicultural literature, ways of sharing literature with children, helping children respond to literature and developing a literature program. Prerequisites: EDU 201 and PSY 237.
