3 hours F This course involves a comprehensive study of the physical principles, physiological effects, indications, contraindications, safety precautions and standard operating procedures of the therapeutic modalities commonly used in the treatment of athletic injuries. It also includes current pain control theories, the body's personal response to trauma and inactivity, as well as the role and function of various pharmacological agents used in the field of sports medicine. Prerequisites: ATN 330 and ATN 335.
