Description:

Courts and legislatures now control much of the work of mental health professionals such as social workers, counselors, therapists, and psychologists. This course looks at problems encountered in putting the laws and policies into effect. These implementation problems are much the same in other areas of government action, such as poverty programs and pollution control. Students cannot receive credit for both SOC 454 and SOC 554.
