The United States responded to the events of September 11, 2001 with a series of unprecedented action under the umbrella of homeland security and the ?War on Terror.? This course examines American National security policy by asking a few key questions: What is terrorism and how does it threaten the United States? How has the United States responded to the threat of terrorism over time? What have the consequences of US policy been to date?
