Topics include operations with signed numbers, translation from words into mathematical language, introduction to operations with polynomials and factoring polynomials, linear equations and inequalities, graphing, radicals, and quadratic equations. This course is offered as a service to students who need extra preparation in algebra skills as well as students who have never had algebra. The course is graded on an A, B, C, no credit basis. Students intending to elect this course should have taken at least one year of high school mathematics. This course is offered for additive credit.
