Modern instrumentation systems are considered beginning with generic issues such as calibration, error analysis, and dynamic response characteristics of instrumentation. Specific transducer systems (temperature, force and pressure, etc.) are presented, as well as interfacing techniques and elementary signal processing. Microprocessors are introduced for use in measurement and control applications.
