This course focuses on the basics of electronic journalism, including broadcast concepts, terminology, writing, producing and scripting. The emphasis will be on building solid writing skills and applying them to different electronic media, including broadcast news, commercial, corporate, multimedia and web-based formats. Students will be exposed to a variety of strategies for developing ideas, researching them, creating copy and following projects through the production and evaluation process.
