This hands-on course will introduce students to the basic theories of audio and audio program production, including the fundamentals of digital audio and studio and remote recording. The course is designed to instill upon students the importance of sound in the electronic media and how its use or misuse can enhance or detract from media productions. Readings, lectures and projects are designed to teach students how to discern good audio from bad and how to avoid pitfalls media producers and directors commonly make.
