The fundamental concepts of organizational behavior are explored. The interrelationships among personnel in an organization, and the functions and responsibilities of individuals are discussed. Topics studied include decision-making theory, organizational authority and adjunct responsibility, leadership and supervision. Particular emphasis is placed upon hospitals and the health care industry. Lectures are supplemented with actual case studies from the health care industry in which the student has the opportunity to apply problem-solving techniques to true-to-life situations.
