This writing intensive course will train students to compose a film script, focusing on the substance, structure, and style of an original screenplay. The course will be conducted as a workshop in which students will first study classic scripts (and films based on these) of the film-school generation of directors, then model scenes and sequences of their own scripts on the principles of the above texts, and finally, write their own respective film stories in accordance with an appropriate narrative structure and design.
