A required supervised field experience related to the teaching of mathematics in grades 7-12. Involves 45 clock hours of work and observation in a classroom setting. The practicum includes the construction of classroom activities and lesson plans designed to strengthen students' skills in communication, problem solving, making connections, and in the use of technology. Official admission to and good standing in teacher certification program are required. TB clearance and physician's statement of good health required.
