Acquaints students with logic of research inquiry, design and analysis, including questions of validity, reliability, causation, etc. Imparts basics of various research methods used in the communication field, such as survey interviews, depth interviews, focus groups, content analysis, and rhetorical analysis. Students design and conduct at least one study in communication, individually or in groups.
