Students pursuing the AAAS minor or an area of focus in African and African American Studies may choose to complete their coursework with a final thesis project that reflects research interests developed during their course of study. This thesis, which can be used to fulfill three (3) hours of the required upper-division course work, will be written under the direction of a faculty member whose scholarly expertise is compatible with the research field(s) of the student.
