Two hours of lecture and one hour of discussion/recitation per week. Students may count this course for CORE in ONE of three areas: Life Sciences, non-lab {LS} Physical Sciences, non-lab {PS} Social or Political History {SH}. This interdisciplinary, team-taught course looks at the interplay of engineering, the environment, biological communities, and politics from the historical context of Egyptian development of the Nile River Valley and the Aswan High Dam.
