Students may count this course for CORE in ONE of three areas: Life Sciences, non-lab {LS} Physical Sciences, non-lab {PS} Social or Political History {SH}. Credit will be granted for only one of the following: UNIV138A or WRLD135. Formerly UNIV138A. This interdisciplinary, team-taught course looks at the interplay of engineering, the environment, biological communities, and politics from the historical context of Egyptian development of the Nile River Valley and the Aswan High Dam.
