Credit 3 hours. Prerequisite: Art 299. This course is a study of art education purposes, trends, policies, and art education's potential as a discipline. This course is an introduction to and exploration of media available for use by the elementary art educator. Students will earn a minimum of twenty (20) hours of direct teaching experience outside of class time. Lecture, lab, and field experience, 5.25 contact hours a week.
