Credit 3 hours. Prerequisite: SPED 363; EDUC 304 or 308 depending on area of certification(may be taken concurrently). Full SARTE status. This course deals with methods of teaching academic subjects to students with mild/moderate disabilities. It provides practice in selecting goals and objectives, task analysis, preparing developmentally and academically sequenced materials, and evaluating intended learning outcomes. Course will also include techniques for teaching learning strategies and promoting transitions. Two hours lecture and two hours of laboratory per week.
