Credit 6 hours. Prerequisites: EDUC 304, EDUC 307, EPSY 301, EPSY 315, Math 167, MATH 168, approval of an Introductory Portfolio, and full SARTE status. The content of this block includes the development of teaching competencies in mathematics and reading. Primary emphasis is focused on developing the teaching skills and competencies of future teachers related to these curricular areas while working with individuals and small groups of children in a school environment. The needs of all learners will be considered. Three hours lecture and six hours laboratory per week.
