Credit 2 hours. Prerequisites: Sophomore standing (30 Hours), 2.5 cumulative or degree GPA, and take concurrently with EDUC 201 or prior credit. This course focuses on historical and current topics and issues in education relevant to providing appropriate and equitable education experiences for diverse populations of students. Observations and service-learning experiences are required to acquaint candidates with the needs and abilities of all students, best pedagogical practices, and laws and policies governing education. One and a half-hour lecture and one hour laboratory per week.
