Credit 3 hours. An intensive elementary-intermediate level English language course for students whose native language is not English. This course is designed to prepare students for entry into the required English sequence. The approach is communicative, involving grammar study, oral exercises, dialogues, and role playing. All four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) are developed. This course is not accepted for credit toward graduation. Students will be graded on the basis of Pass (P) or Unsatisfactory (U).
