Credit 4 hours. Prerequisites: A 100 level Earth Science lecture and lab and permission of the Department Head. Selected topics in Earth Science that are new or unique and are not covered in existing courses. This course is designed primarily for education majors. This course is a guided inquiry approach to learning and also integrates a service-learning component. It is comparable to a three hour lecture/two hour laboratory per week course. This course may not be used to satisfy the General Education sequence requirement in the Natural Sciences. This course may be repeated, as topics vary, for a maximum of 12 credit hours.
