Credit 3 hours. The course is designed to provide students with a study of the transmission of sound, anatomy of the outer, middle and inner ear; etiology and detection of hearing impairment. Basic instruction in pure tone air and bone conduction, masking, speech, audiometry, and immitance procedures included to acquaint students with the entire field of audiology.
