Lec. 3 Lab. 0 Credit 3 A survey of art history from prehistoric to modern times of locations outside of Western civilization. Both period style and personal styles will be compared to the lifestyles of the area. Geographical emphases will be in Africa, Eastern and Southern Asia, Central and Native North America, South America and Australia. Class work will consist of discussion of art using slides, prints, videos, hands-on activities and field trips.
